Social injustice

Social injustice is something that has existed since the beginning of society in many shapes, constantly changing its parameters, and has constantly been a cause of conflict and debate. I think this social problem is the root of most of the conflicts inside our society, which is why I decided to treat this subject, because if people were more conscious about how much this phenomenon affects us, they would try to find a solution.

One particular form of social injustice that has caught particular attention in recent year is gender inequality, this refers to unequal treatment or perceptions of individuals based on their gender. Gender inequality remains a major barrier to human development. Even though women have made a big progress, they still have not achieved the equality. Gender inequality has prompted negative repercussions in the development of their capabilities, limiting their opportunities.

In the past, women were considered inferior to men, and that is why it was thought that women should take the housewife role, without right of family planning, education, work, opinion, etc; the women´s role in the past was subordinate to a world ruled by the values and actions of men.

In a global world, we are getting used to see the injustice as something normal, for us, is logical that people who are in an upper middle class and the higher class are the ones that has the best opportunities even if they are not really prepared, we don´t realize that there is a lot of people trying to reach a better status, but we do not give them a chance, we just think they are lazy people. We are becoming indifferent to human suffering.

The fight against any type of injustice, it is a collective struggle, they cannot just be there seeing all the iniquities that are happening now days, this is not a fight that have to be faced only by those who are suffering it, is a fight that requires the support of every one of us, because there´s where change begins.
